Notes

Got to the start line and realized that I left my headphones behind. I have not run a single race without them and I suck in practice unplugged. Finally caught up to Cremer at mile 5, fully expecting to lose the lead but never relinquished. I am very happy for those that PR'ed today and for those that didn't there is plenty of training to go. For now, in the words of Tom Petty "It's good to be King, if just for a while". See famous CN quotes (paraphrased)regarding my Fall/Winter weight gain below:

"It's Eric's Birthday, should we run his age or his weight?" "No one can run Egad's weight."- unknown/multiple sources

"Don't you need a snack or something?"- LTrain

"You in the FFC? Have seen Eric lately?"- Greg Cremer

"I looked over at the display on Egad's Treadmill and it said "one of you is going to have to get off". - Rob K

So in response to that F U all you haters, eat my dust! Just Kidding, thanks for encouragement. I will bask for the next three weeks at least. Come get it.

I am surprised you even talk to those jerks. Great job. Now you have to beat that.

That's the spirit! Nice job Eric, and to the rest of the gang for spurring on the healthy competition.

Awesome race, Eric. Great negative splits. Demonstrates discipline and great effort. Very inspiring. I hope to be healthy enough to benefit from your inspiration.

GregM

You should not worry about losing your spot on the podium. You have your best racing years ahead of you. I do hope I can keep up with you soon before that possibility is forever gone.
