Felt great tonight. Perfect weather. Ran with Irish for the first half. Then he begged off, so I caught up with the 2nd and 1st group, who took short cuts. The 1st group was only running 7:45 or so. I hung with them to sort out the turns that I couldn't quite remember. Then, once we got on Rush, I left them. I kept cranking it up. 6:40, 6:30. For the last 200m or so I saw Craig who happily spun around and matched my finishing pace. Then we made it a footrace -- his fresh legs against my indefatigable zeal.
I think my new "Run Fastah" Boston NB shoes from Sam won the day. How can you not be fast in a pair of Zips?!
