First time running out here. Beautiful roads to run on. Plan was two laps of a 10 mile loop. Most of the rest of the group would be cutting it a bit shorter. Great weather. Ran the first lap without carrying water. Was definitely ready for it by the time I got back to the car. Holy smokes the hills out here are tough. For the amount of uphill, the downhills seem too short. I call this a medium run on account of the length and hills, but pace was easy.

I drank a 75/25 mix of Gatorade/Water, forgoing the use of gels - this seemed to work. Fastest two miles were the last two, which are very much downhill aided, but regardless, they were faster than the same miles on the first loop, so I'll take it. One bottle wasn't enough, was extraordinarily thirsty by the end of 20.

Stomach caused me no issues today. I ate a cinnamon roll about an hour before running and had some coffee.

All in all a good run and a confidence booster. Definitely a bit sore the day after though.
