Dr. Langhorst was pleased by healing of the sutures and cleared me to return to DC/ work. No biking for one week. No lifting 10+ lbs until January 1. Limited running ok, but chronic low back pain will persist until brain-multifidus connection reestablishes and restrengthens the muscle.
Activated and calibrated ReActiv8 implant with Mainstay Medical staff. Computer generated electrical stimulation pulses activated the multifidus as we tried to assess how much intensity I could handle and how to center the stimulation as close to the spine as possible. Was difficult to calibrate right side, muscles instinctively across low back wanted to cramp to prevent spinal instability.
