Notes

Overall, the race went pretty well considering my training. I did the first couple miles around 735-740 and felt pretty mediocre. I felt best from about mile 11-19. The last 1.5 was tough and probably well over 800 pace. I took water at every station and had gel packs at 9, 15, and 20. I didn't have any real problems during the race and ran a slightly negative split. I didn't blow up. My knees and calves feel fine (I think it was the right call to not wear the super shoes on race day). I did through up on the way home and once I got home but felt fairly ok once I woke up from a 2.5 hour nap. My right foot has been really sore the last two days, which I'm hoping will resolve once I get a couple days in a row off from work and can stay off it.

I'm glad I did this one but I don't think I'll do another. I don't really like the 2+ hour long training runs and I'd rather race more often. I also think marathoning is an injury waiting to happen.
