Notes

First real long run of the summer. Started up Sunset, then did the "fake" N. Lake, threw in a Marthon loop, then took Route 2 down to 15th. Had to do a loop around the Union to make sure I wasn't short and it was almost timed perfectly.

First part was with TyGu and we were moving a bit slow, probably around 7:20 pace. Picked it up once I got onto Hoosick (downhill probably helped) and then kept that pace for the second part of the run. Last 5 miles were about 6:30 pace and felt pretty good.

Apparently the cool thing to do is muse over last summer's training and compare it to this year, so I'll throw in a quick comment too #sheep #DGAF. 'Round this time last summer I was also hitting about 40-50 mpw, and I think I just stayed in the 50 range for most of the summer. Kinda weird, but alright. Pace was waaay slower last year too. Looks like I'll have no problem putting in more and better quality miles this summer than I did last year.

For next week: I've been a bit off schedule, but I think now would be good to aim for my previous best. I had that one weird week last year where I hit 73-74 mpw, but if I'm in the 65-70 range I'll be satisfied, because apparently most of my miles last year were poopy.
