Want a faster target but 400m too short to really settle on an exact target. Plan was "faster than the usual 6:30 unless recovery proved miserable" - expected 6:25, so go with that. In effect, headed out fast, watch said 5:00-6:00 after 100m and then pushed to maintain whatever until 400m ticked over.
Avg was 6:20 pace (variance 6:01-6:36). Only reps over were due to wind/climb, but the others were under due to wind-assist/descent.
6:25 might be the target for the next few sessions (approx 20min 5k pace), but ready to drop off to 6:30. Maybe 8x600m next week.
Felt first few were too fast, and pretty bad after 3 but then they got easier and just worked through till the end. Avg HR /rep stabilised but found that it was still going up after the reps ended.
