I ran a smart race. For the first 1/2 I let people pass me, after that I started counting how many people I passed (it turned out to be 8). I didn't see any mile marks, but at about 2 miles I was at 14:00 which I though was fast, but turned out to be a negative split. Stopped for a bout 3 seconds for a drink on the way back. Pushed it pretty hard after about 2 1/4. This definitely gave my lungs a workout.
There were a lot of PRs, so the course may be suspect, but several people ran it with the measurement wheel.
