Unlike yesterday I monitored my pace by my Garmin: 11 mi. @ 9:30 pace (9:29, 9:31, 9:29, 9:30, 9:31, 9:29, 9:28, 9:28, 9:21, 9:22, 9:13) last 4 mi. at the ridge - nasty, vicious wind was blowing me up the ridge when I was trying to run down the ridge (8:52, 8:52, 9:04, 9:06) - This is a little short of the 8:45 avg. pace, but taking the wind factor into consideration I think it was pretty good. Legs feel really strong. Half a waffle at 4 mi. and 8 mi. and 3.5 oz. water each time. Whole waffle at 11 mi. and 6 oz. water. I think I'm in pretty good shape at this point.
Probably good for us to talk a little about Boston, just for perspective for me (e.g. are you going to the pre race dinner or the post race party - don't have to do this together, just want to know how to plan.).
