Very HOT run. The combination of heat, exhaustion and dehydration kept my heart rate in zone 4 (160-164) for about 15 minutes after the return hill on zonalite. Anyone say "Cardiac drift?" My legs/knees/ankles felt okay (no pain) but the muscles were very tired after about 25 minutes. It took 25 mins for the first 2.6 miles and 23 mins for the next 2.3 miles. A good run, but I need to be better hydrated and find runs that have water stops along the way. Oh yeah, the new shoes are officially broken in all the way.
