Notes
This run was a disaster. This was a 4 mile run, pared down from 6.5, that I barely returned from. I've been running too hard. I need to master "active recovery" and actually run slower on my short/easy/recovery days. Yesterday just felt so good, I could help but run really fast (for me, right now). I'm going to make a recovery run, which means that the run has to be slower than 10min/mile and less than 3 miles for now. I need to have at least 1 of these per week or I am going to burn out.
I guess this was just lucky day number 13.
Still icing shins, doing calf stretches and exercises for the shin splints. Hopefully I can get them under control. I'm taking 2-3 recovery days in a row, which will coincide nicely with finishing my Step 2 CK exam. That should help.
