Tuesday night group run. Featured person/vendor just happened to be an ART chiro that I'd met about a year and a half before at a tri clinic. Before the run, I told her what had happened to me and know the knee felt, and asked WTF could I have possibly done to myself just from tripping & falling on sidewalk? She had me sit down and put my legs straight out in front of me. She poked, pressed, prodded up and down my left shin & knee...where she got the biggest reaction (I didn't say anything, but the people standing around watching could tell it hurt like hell just by the look on my face) was on the inner left side of my knee..which surprised the crap out of me because that was NOT the area I'd feel pain during runs. She advised I get it x-rayed ASAP and was concerned about a stress fracture of my tibia. FUCKITY FUCK.

Went ahead and ran after anyway, because I figured if she was right it could be months before I get the chance again. I could barely straighten my leg or put my left foot on the floor after. Had to fight back tears most of the drive home.

Was in the sports med doc office the next morning at 10:30. Took plenty of xrays of my leg & knee, he suspects a slight meniscus tear. Got a cortisone shot, follow up in 8 days and take it easy until then.
