Notes
As you can probably tell from the mile splits, this was OK through about 8-9 miles then BONK. I didn't even realize I was bonking until a mile or two passed and I was struggling to get below 13:00/mile pace. I'd look down at my watch and be .25 into a new mile, not having taken a walk break.. and see that my avg pace so far for the lap was 13:20 or so.. WTF??? Me no likey.
It was warm and VERY humid (at least I thought so). The air seemed so thick and there was no breeze. Even when things were going well at around the 8 mile point, I said to Steph "this is the longest 8 miles I've ever done, I feel like I've been out here for 3 hours". When I saw my paces tank, I turned in for the day. I will try to get back out at some point today and get a few more miles in, I was really hoping for 14-15 today.
