Notes

plan going into the race was to treat it as a hard workout to kick off the half marathon training season. I've put in 3 weeks of base mileage and was ready to get some rust off before getting into workouts. Solid effort. I was out a bit faster than I realized and had to slow myself down, other than that I felt fine. Got destroyed by 5-6 people in the last 800 including the top lady. Really hard not to all out kick with them but I really didn't want to force it. Plus I have nothing to prove since I've split 2 minutes faster than this in a half marathon. Think I was 28th place. Somewhere around there anyways. Timmy had a solid effort as well crossing in 1:02:30. PR for him. That was great to see. And of course he had baggy shorts and a long sleeve cotton shirt on. Looked legit.
