Notes

Before the race I knew I was gonna die before the end because of how shitty my training has been. Splits were 12:13 at 2 mile, 6:17 3rd, 6:20 4th, 6:35 5th, 6:11 6th, and 1:18 the last .2. The 5th mile was a struggle, it was up a huge hill on the bridge and my legs felt like they weren't even moving. I thought I was going 8 min pace going up the bridge and didn't even think I was gonna break 40 minutes in the race. Luckily there was a big down hill after that where I recovered and cruised to the finish line. I threw up at the end of the race, which was odd because I've never thrown up before after a race. Very tough course.

all excuses aside it was a shitty race and I won't run that slow again... ever
