900 foot elevation gain and muddy.
Race:
First place out of 100. The really fast runners did the 10M.
The track was really muddy and passing walking 5k people on the second half of the race was a little difficult.
Wasn't even planning on running this and even tried to go easy. Started in the back with Daphne. But, could not resist the starting gun. Noticed I was way ahead even before the halfway / turn-around point and tried to calm down on the way back.
I remembered a guy from the Urban Cowtown Half that I ran a few months before. He beat me in that race, so it was good to feel more improvement.
