There ARE hills in Sacramento and they come in the form of overpasses.
This course was half "hills" and half obstacle course.
5:39 - Starting too fast (again). First section of the course made a loop and we had to run back through the people crossing the starting line.
5:54 - Trying to ease up on the pace. I think this was where young 5k guy was trying to draft off me. Lame.
6:06 - Starting to feel it now.
6:20 - Loud breathing guy caught up to me. Equally lame.
6:19 - Is this over yet? LBG is too far ahead to catch. Starting to notice there were lots of switch-backs on the course.
6:20 - Guy on a bike.. Please get out of my way. Running over the boardwalk in Old Sac. Who designed this course?
1:03 - Joining with the really slow 5k folks. Just happy I didnt run anybody down.
Happy with the overall time. Would never run this course again. 5th Overall.
