Muskingum 8k. Kinda hot day, but more importantly the course was ASS. I mean, that was definitely the hilliest course I've ever ran. I don't think anyone got a good time, myself included (but probably worse for me...). In the very least, it was a good hill workout. As I write this on Sunday afternoon my quads and legs are cooked. I went out def too fast in the race, but a) I think I held on better for the second mile than last race, and b) if it wasn't so hilly I might have been able to do better. The third mile was so slow though. I tried to work back into it and use the hills to my advantage but ig I just didn't have the energy. I was passing people the entire time though, or at least I didn't stop passing people. Settled in with some Dennison guys for the first mile-ish and then dropped them, was in between guys trying to work up to them the rest of the race. I think I saw some Kenyon person ahead of me once. I also tried to focus on keeping my breathing steady and collecting myself on the downhills, as well as keeping my shoulders loose and arms down. The last guy I passed was some Marietta guy on the last downhill, I think I psyched him out.
