Wooster Midnight 5k. Last Cross Country race of my collegiate career. Dang. Didn't think that would come so soon. Did my best, I think. I went out a little below pace and basically kept on pace, although I slowed down at times to like 89's because I didn't really have anyone with me. I think that was the most controlled I've felt in a race in a long time. The first two or a bit less miles felt pretty controlled, but around after that I started to get pretty tired and my arms were getting a bit numb. I really only went for it after Jason crossed the finish line at the same time as me to break 17, and I knew I had to surge. There was also some guy named Ben behind me but I was annoyed by people cheering for him so I kept surging and dropped him. Everyone ran well I think. It was super cold though, I am glad I wore gloves this time. I think I'm satisfied with this result, it is where I expected to be. Ben dropped the word on me right before we warmed up so I chose "kairos." I think I delivered it well. I'm kinda sad writing this hahahha. It's over! Is everything over?

It's not over. You are just beginning. Cheers, Anthony.

Thanks! Do I know you?

Hi Will,

>Do I know you?

Extremely unlikely.

I have enjoyed reading your RunningAhead log. Appreciate your sincerity in describing the frustrations and triumphs of our game. I hope you continue. And can make running a lifelong pursuit.

I'm an old guy living the good life in Wine Country. I did play College baseball but never ran a mile until very late in life. I regret that. ~Anthony

I'm glad you've enjoyed my running log, I write it so that I can remember the good times I know I'll want to remember. I do plan on continuing running, I got sentimental there because it's the end of my cross country career, and I'll miss it dearly. Anytime's a good time to start running, I think. As long as you're out there enjoying it that's what matters. Thanks again!
