Tempo Loop

2k @ T, 3 x 800m, 2 x 400m, 2 x 200m

Last workout of the season. Did this pretty early due to a final. Unfortunately, UI track was being used til 6 and I didn't want to risk a longer warmup for possible use of the Urbana Track, so I had to settle for Tempo Loop. Took the threshold a bit too fast, my bad. For the 800, since I didn't know where the half mile mark was, I just to the 400m mark and back. Even if it's not great for my ankles, it's not like I'm doing this a lot. First 800 felt pretty hard. 2nd felt even worse than the first one. I would take the first stretch pretty hard because I knew I was going to slow down going back, but that only led to me slowing down more. Went out more controlled in the 3rd one and came back stronger. First 400 was exhausting because even though I was going down the gradient, I was getting blasted by the wind. Finished pretty hard in the second 400 and finished much faster.

Overall, it was an okay workout, little upset that I couldn't end my final workout with the club on the track, but it's not like it was completely in my control. Big expectations for the 10k on Thursday.
