A Loop

Notes

I'm going to start rating how my chest feels during runs from now on.

After a long day at the Marathon, which was a blast, and then a long car ride back to Champaign, I rested for about 20 minutes before heading out for a long run. It's very common to take the pace out very fast after a race, bad or not, so I made sure to stay controlled for at least half of the run. Chest pain resurfaced again unfortunately. It was weird though for this run because it would come and go multiple times. When I went to the Arb to run up the hill, the pain got worse and it was similar to the feeling of throwing up after my recent races. However, I discovered that if I exhale really hard, the pain dulls out a bit. Also, I'm coming to realize that it's not really pain I'm feeling, but nausea. That usually comes from dehydration, so that could be a cause for what's been happening to me lately, but if that were the case, it shouldn't have occurred in just races, but practice and workouts as well. There's also the possibility that I'm not exerting race effort most of the time, so I might not be hydrated enough for hard efforts over a long period of time. Anyways I digress. After the hill, I headed back to the Armory and stretched for a bit before heading back home.
