Notes
Made sure to eat well before the race this time and races much better as a result. Course was still pretty tough and my back was tightening up with just half the race so remaining. I still stayed tough and finished strong.
Positives: Much better start to the race. 25 second improvement over my previous race. Didn't get passed at any point after the halfway point.
Negatives: Lost a lot of focus in miles 3 and 4 due to a cramped back. Wasn't under 26.
Overall: This probably was the best effort I could put out with the current fitness that I am in. I am grateful to be running pretty close to PR shape. It's proof that the mileage I put in between September and October were really paying off.
