2k @ T w/ 2' R, 5 x 800 w/ 2' R (1 and 5 @ 3k, 2-4 @ 5k), 2 x 400 @ Mile w/ 3' R

Tune up workout for Saturday's race. Wanted this workout to mimic possible race conditions, being a fast start and then fast finish with an even race in the middle. Started out with a blazing quick 2:21, which was a huge surprise to me. Never hit that for a workout before. Didn't really hold me back because the next 3 800's felt solid. Hurting a bit in the 5th 800, but managed to run consistent with the first one.

400's were hard. Felt my form decline rapidly after the first one and the second one was all about not falling apart, which I successfully did.

Overall, this was a successful tune up workout. Times were great and effort felt great as well. From here on out, the goal is to run this kind of level in the race this Saturday while also getting as much rest as needed to properly recover from this workout.
