Not a great workout at all. Second interval workout with increase in speed during the intervals. Ironically, I have consistently ran slower than when I just ran at race pace the whole interval.
Warmup felt ok, but I think I took the threshold a little too fast. First one felt miserable; I was using way too much effort to stay in race pace, and running at 7 o clock with wild winds didn't help me pace myself better. Second one wasn't any better, in fact slower than the last one. I decided that my third one would be my last. Started out slower than race pace to see if I can accelerate better........ this was the slowest one of all 3. I don't think today was my day for a workout. 4 x 200's felt decent, although I felt dead after the fourth one.
First 5k race in a few days, gotta keep my head held up high and keep fighting. This will all pay off one day.
