Very happy with this workout, although I will admit that I didn't do hill/leg strength on Wednesday, so that definitely put me fresher than anyone in my workout group today. The goal was to just stay relaxed and finish strong. 3k felt decent, breathing felt fine. Right off the bat, I tucked in behind whoever was leading the k's, which was Jared, and I would end up doing this for the rest of the workout. I guess I just wanted to get more out of the last hard workout of the season and didn't want to chicken out this time. Felt strong through 6 intervals, so I definitely was doing 8. On the last one, I was starting to get very tired, but I tried to tell myself that Hershey will feel so much worse than this,, so that kept me pushing through the last one. People started kicking hard near the end, so I followed. Got pukey near the end, so I kinda held back. Bummer. Still happy with the effort I put in. Staying relaxed definitely helped me out here, and the advice Somerfield gave me for running up hills definitely changed my attitude towards them, at least a bit. From here on out, it's just good rest and diligent maintenance for peak form.
