Notes
~1.5 warmup (1.25 miles on the track and some extra just wondering), ~1.5 cool down (4x a grass field larger than a track), and 4 mile prediction.
I guessed 28:12 for 7:03 pace. I felt like I was on pace then at the turn around everyone kept going! I was confused and went with them. I spent at least 20-30 seconds going in the wrong direction. I turned around threw in a surge and then went back to perceived tempo effort. When finishing on the track I heard a girl come up on my shoulder struggling, but accelerating. I encouraged her and kept accelerating with her. When I crossed the line, I looked back at my time and it was 28:28 or 28:30 or something. So 16-20 seconds off my predicted time. I'll get the official time later. Oh well, it was lots of fun.
Edit: official prediction time was 28:32, so 20 seconds off pace. Placed me 4th in terms of predictions.
