Notes
I went to a PT finally. He diagnosed me with a rectus femoris impingement. Basically where the muscle attaches to the pelvis. Apparently, my left glute was not firing at all. It was not providing my leg any real control. The theory is, when I was doing intervals/faster paced running, the leg would swing with more force and without control and pinch the tendon.
Solution? Activate dem glutes. How? Clam shells. Apparently, I was doing them all wrong before. I was leaning back too much and completely missing activating my glute.
Goal for today's run was to activate the glutes and run. I did my clam shells and went. I didn't look down at pace/hr/etc. Just ran.
Butt is feeling sore.
