long run! made it complicated. drove to tufts and went around mystic lakes and then some miles on the track.

started with 4.5 warmup at 7:30, then 8 at marathon pace, which was supposed to be 6:45. did 6:33 for the first 4 miles, mile 5 was 6:24 and included a five minute break where i met up with jake and culla and figured out their workout plans. then continued on the track with 6:13, 6:24, 6:29. included three 200m surges when jake and culla came by.

after that, did some jogging + four 200s of jake+culla's workout (probably about 36s). some walking with them in there too. tried to keep up with culla for his last 400, but 200 was all i had. finished with some barefoot drills and strides on the grass.

the pace generally felt easy, but i could tell i started to run out of energy around miles 10-12. might be tired from bike yesterday. it'll be interesting to see what i can do for mad marathon, which is way too long for the shape i'm (not) in.

knee felt a little sore halfway through but went away quickly and i didn't notice it again.
