mentally not ready for this race. ran first mile with alex at 5:08, which seemed pretty conservative compared to everyone else. started to fade as soon as the second mile started, looked at my watch thinking I was running the same pace but it was more like 5:30. my attitude turned negative and i was no longer interested in running fast. 5:40 second mile and 5:57 third mile. oh well. now i get to forget about racing for a while.
i haven't really been running, since i haven't really had a goal or felt good about my running in a while. i'm not really sure what i was doing. i'm looking forward to starting running for real again now. some stats from the last 6 months:
averaging 28 mpw
7 weeks over 30 miles
1 week over 60 miles
11 weeks under 20 miles
i'm a regular hobby jogger.
