Notes

Plan was to do a longish run around 18k mixing road and trails exploring Mebongsan.

Heel pain was a downer and felt like turning back during the first couple of kilometers. But saw a husky at the first light and also Joe as I was approaching WCS which provided me some motivation to just get it done.

Exploring Mebongsan was actually fun. (Had another encounter with a young energetic lab which put smile on my face.) Did the first loop as last time so I could remember the route. During the second lap, I went down the side paths to check out where they will end up. Lot of the paths led down to the apartment buildings.

One path took me down to the main road, so decided to end the trail section and head towards Sunset Park. But as soon as I started running the road, I noticed the heel pain. Not knowing if it was going to get worse, decided to run Sky Park which was closer to WCS. Going up/down the stairs were OK, but felt sore running downhill on roads. Experimented with different foot landing not to aggravate the heel and tight shin.

I think the ankle issue (L) is related to my weak glutes. Probably causing my knee to collapse inward causing undue stress on my shin/ankle. I really need to start doing my exercise again! Not sure how to handle the heel pain though...

So glad I changed to crops form tights. I would've overheated. The only time I felt a bit "chilly" was at the very beginning and on top of Sky Park. But didn't use the OMM half-zip at all.
