Last run before the race. Went before lunch.
Body felt heavy, hamstrings/IT bands still tight and achy. But mentally felt OK, as I came to terms with it. So this is how it's going to be on race day; big deal.
Was good to know that first 5 min. always feel a bit sluggish. Just need to focus from mile to mile, and stay in the "box." Be prepared for pain and stay calm when things don't go as planned!
