Notes
Group run @Namsan. Now that it's my thrid time running with this group, I feel so much more comfortable. While I only understand 1.7% of what they're saying in Korean, I really enjoy training with them. All four of them are very strong runners, their pace are measured, and push hard when they need to.
So JH threw a curve ball and instead of the 3x6k laps, we did 6k, 8k, and fast-paced short intervals (x3) at the end. The 8k has a slow steady climb for a mile and they jokingly called it the "die-hard" hill. Like I wasn't already "dead" by then...
I was a bit worried going into this run after Wed's 26k, but spending extra time for recovery (stretching, rolling, icing, compression socks, stick...) seemed to have helped. My legs were tired, but I managed. And thank goodness there was no stairs climbing at the end!
Not sure how I screwed up, but it seems like I didn't hit the lap button properly while doing the intervals. Too bad since I was curious to see the splits. My third should've be the slowest, and was curious to how much slower.
Three of them are running a half marathon tomorrow in lieu of their long run. They said, "join us and just run slow!!" Ummmm...., after Wed's long run and today's hill run? I don't think so. I told them I'll think about it and let them know tonight.
lulu tank+NB shorts, temp 22>24(RF 25>30), humidity was 92>81% and muggy.
p.s. Was told that I have a habit of not swinging my right arm. Need to work on it!
p.s.s. They brought a big frozen bottle of coke for our "water station" and it was fantastic! It turned into a slushie while were were running, and boy, what a treat it was!
