Seriously, these feet will outlast any pair of man-made shoes many times over, although a prolonged break-in period is necessary before using on longer runs. They already have the perfect arches, motion control, cushioning, etc. Don't screw it up with shoes, but if you do, just get sole protection for all the glass and needles out there...
