Wanted to do a pace of around 11:30, but I guess I'm still "base-building" and getting used to longer runs with hills. Ate a banana before, and had a bowl of cereal with 1/2 banana afterward - trying to do things right, and it seems to help. High humidity again (what's new?), turnover was fairly good (but I did slow in the last 4 or 5 miles), the hills were easier, and I consumed about 15 oz. of Gatorade while running + one gel-pack at mile 6. I always seem to go significantly faster and easier on the TM compared to outside, but who wants to go long on the TM?. The total effort wasn't as hard as previous long runs, so there's some improvement - just gotta get the times down! Overall, just pleased I could do the distance!

Interior chafing issue - not too bad - between thighs; first time. It's probably the longer distance, but also, could it be the shorts partially? (The navy ones w/the gold side stripes). Wear your faves (black) next time; they seem to be lighter with less fabric in that area.

36 hours later - feeling good, soreness had left by 24 hours later, ready for another workout - a good sign!
