Ok...I think this was a breakthrough mentally for me. I decided early on in the run not to let my HR get over 160 ever. I did a pretty good job as the highest it ever got was 159 or so. I'm very happy with this run. I went really slow and never even broke a sweat. The only drawback of going so slow was that I was on my feet way longer then I was used to for this type of a run. I think I am going to run every slow training run with a HR between 150 and 160 I expect as my fitness improves my times will come down...I hope.
