Wow! 2 1/2 weeks of nothing! I was on such a good roll then **POOF** Work goes crazy and I can't even get away for lunch for 2 weeks. Craziness! Anyway. I was hurting really, really bad today. The whole workout was thrown off since in the past 2 weeks I lost my goggles and had to buy a new pair today and it took 2 or 3 laps to get them adjusted correctly and a lot of stop and go. This just threw off my timing and whole feel of the workout. I swam 600 meters all free then started to mix in some Breaststroke which helped. At one point I wasn't sure I was going to be able to complete the distance but pushed through. I was trying not to concern myself with my time and just hoping ot finish the distance but of course I was concerned how much conditioning I have lost. In the end with a good portion of the swim done with Breaststroke i was able to break 30 min which I was happy with. If I can just get myself back to swimming the entire distance all freestyle before Sunday I should be in the 26 range again. I don't think I lost to much even though I was quite winded. What would really help is if I could breath underwater - I wonder if they would let me swim with a snorkel?
