I didn't bother taking a watch again. I like this better. I felt pretty strong even after swimming earlier in the day. My cardio seems to be getting much better but my legs are still not quite under me yet. It felt like 8:15 pace or so for the 1st 2 miles then my calves started hurting - particularly my left just above my achillies tendon but i was able to finish the 5K. My left calf is really sore today but it feels like it's just muscle pain (below left calf & just above achillies) and something that should not linger. I had plans to run 5 miles on Saturday but that might be a little more than I'm ready for at this point. Maybe i'll stick with 5K until I can finish it without any kind of pain. I'm going to buy new shoes this weekend so I am hopeful this will make a difference.
