Felt absolutely horrible on this run! Usually when I do a long run we I 24+ hours of rest until the next run so the fact that I was running again 12 hours after the long run might have had something to do with it. Also, I need new shoes and of course I wait until I REALLY need them and Dick Ponds didn't have my size so I'm waiting on those so my legs just felt like complete garbage. They felt so heavy from the beginning and I thought they would open up as the run went along especially since we do the hills and everything but they just kept feeling worse and worse. It was really humid this morning so breathing wasn't great even for a recovery run and I just wanted this run to be over. Did 6 Loomis hills after running White Oak then 8 laps of strides like usual when we got back. Hammy and butt were a little tight but not too bad, the warmer temp. seemed to help with that (a very warm feeling 55 degrees this morning despite the rain). I was going to race an 800 this Friday at Benedictine but I decided that I just need the weekend off from racing. My legs just feel like crap which isn't the main reason I'm not racing but I just feel like I need a weekend off because it's like when you are racing every weekend it sometimes gets mundane where as if I just take this week off to recharge I can get excited about racing again. I would've just gave it a go this Friday if I weren't doing a road race the weekend of conference but with that and then the last chance meets coming right after taking the weekend off will be a good idea since I really want to run well in the 5 at the first last chance meet.

Aaaaand I am very long winded.. even when typing. :)
