Wow, wow, wow!! I did it and I am so proud of myself! I wanted to do a couple of things, I wanted first to run a smart race, I wanted to have a good experience and I really wanted to break 4 hours.... I did them all and I couldn't of been more thrilled.

The first 2 miles were so hard to figure out what pace I was running without the GPS working given we were underneath the bridge... so I went by feel, and after finishing those first 2 miles over 30 seconds ahead of pace I made myself slow down and stick to the plan...

I was nervous the whole way b/c I didn't know what to expect. I kept worrying I would feel cramps or die out in the miles ahead of me so I just wanted to be as conservative as I could to reach the 4 hr goal I had.

Mile 9 was uphill and I felt it. I was nervous that i felt that b/c I thought it was too early to feel a little winded. Mile 15 felt great, I hardly felt the bridge because I was passing so many people.

First ave I started to feel tired, and this also surprised me b/c I had heard so many times that you will feel nothing on first ave given the crowds are so loud. So I played this as conservative as I could and just kept up with my 8:57 pace range.

I for the first time did really good with my water stations. I learned how to hold them properly and drink enough.

I did my gu's every 50 min religiously. My stomach never acted up which I was thrilled about.

Around Mile 24 I started to realize that my goals were about to become reality. My body started to feel really tired and about to crumble but I just kept to the pace as best I could and fought for every mile. I was so happy when I crossed that finish line!!!! I was proud that I reached all of my goals and even more excited that this is only the beginning and started dreaming on what can I do next time.

Thank you Coach, I know I did this, but I could never do it without your love, your coaching and your support. So many times throughout the race I just replayed all the stories you told me and things that I needed to remember. I love you with all my heart!!!
