Notes

Good evening run with Willie. Was worried about my knee to start, but it was okay. I warmed it up aggressively. We started off, it felt slow, but came through with decent splits on the Summer 5 (4:55, 6:57, 10:38, 18:48.) We hit Pine Ponds in 26:34 and I told Willie we'd break 34, which was a little more ambitious than I realized. 7:30 is a good clip from there and we needed 7:25. I was in front and pushed it a bit, and literally finished in 33:59 before tacking on a bit, including going up race course hill, to get a little over 6 miles. Stretched more, did drills, then did 4x15 second strides in racing flats in the parking lot. Felt good to go fast. Good day of training.
