Notes
First half was right on track at 2:20. Not sure what happened but blew up the second half. Didn't sleep well the night before but still it was a struggle. I got put in heat 3 as the slowest seed. I self seeded at 4:40 which I thought was a possibility but would need to be my PR.
I hit the first 100 maybe 8 our of 11. Then held spot for awhile ticking off 35's. At the 800, I fell off pace a bit and wasn't strong enough to fight for it. I gave up a bit and that was all on me. I didn't have a lot and honestly 4:40 wasn't happening, but maybe I could have snuck in low-mid 4:40's instead of the 4:48. Disappointed. Simon crushed heat 4 winning in 4:40 and change. I would have been better off in that heat. My heat I was already off the back and then ran solo once I lost contact that didn't help. I need to get tougher at these lung burning sprint distances.
