Back to the whistle workout with 5x40 seconds hard with 30 second easy jog between. We did two sets with what was supposed to be 3:00 minutes easy recovery between the sets.

First set felt great. Long recovery got cut short to 2:20 by accident. Second set was labored. During the 3rd interval of the second set, I realized I would be at the halfway point if I did a full third set. I was losing the pep in my legs and decided that it would just be two sets tonight, which isn't all that much hard effort looking at the time spent running hard vs recovery.

It probably made sense to easy back into track workouts and not do too much.
