Havent done this ladder workout in awhile - 400, 800, 1200, 1600 and then back down. Goal is the 400 at repeat pace (69-71), 800/1200 at interval (2:30-2:32, 3:48-3:50), 1600 at 5:20. I hit the 400's on pace but everything else was way off, especially the 800s and 1200s. I just couldn't stop the bleeding as I fell off pace. I felt like I was putting out the effort to hit the splits only to find that I was continuing to miss the splits. Disappointing. This is definitely one of the longer workouts on the track as far as time spent at the interval pace but I don't think that was the issue. I just didn't bear down and counterattack when I fell off pace early on a rep. I need to get mentally tougher.
