Saturday morning workout with Culla, Kieran, and Bradley. Plan was to run 10 x 400M at repeat pace. Met the group after a 5 mile warmup since I wanted to be loose for the morning track session. Turns out it was already in the mid 70's by the time I started my warmup at 7:20, so I was already pretty hot by the time I made it to the track at 8:00.

My 400 repeat pace should be around 71 seconds. Usually I aim for 70/71, with maybe a 69 or 72 thrown in the mix. With the heat, I just couldn't hit my splits today. Wasn't terribly off, but definitely many more 72/73's than I had originally hoped. Not sure if this was due to the heat or just not having enough gas in the tank yet, but still would liked to have nailed the workout. Was good to get the track session in on the weekend though. May take a shot at the mile during the mini-meet on Wednesday, so was nice to get in the 400 workout.
