Notes
Once again racing my favorite leg. Started off a bit hot and settled down towards the end of the first mile. Got stopped at a bridge during mile 2 due to there being no police detail. I jumped through once I got enough of a clearing. Mid miles were a bit of a grind and kept falling off pace slightly but then stuck it out to stay right at 5:30-ish. Last mile and a half had a nice adrenaline shot to bring it home. Ended up second fasted SRR runner on this leg today, only behind Antunes. This was my fastest leg 4 but a good 40 seconds. It felt good and I have to wonder if there were a few more seconds I could have shaved.
Ended up winning the 30+ mens division, with 3 of us graduating to the masters division next year. SRR as a whole finished 4th as a club, but had 5 of the top 10 teams. Fun as always, but skipped the indoor celebration in exchange for parking lot beers.
