Notes
Workout tonight was 6x800 at interval, with 2:00 rest (including a 200m jog as part of the rest). Did the workout with Jake, Sam, and another new guy that came with Sam. We had a pretty good pack that ran consistently.
Goal was to start around 2:34 and work our way down. I paced the first two, Jake took the third, Sam the fourth, and then Jake and me for the fifth and sixth. With the exception of the fourth, we did a pretty good job at sticking together as a pack.
I normally feel like the 800's feel a lot worse. Don't get me wrong, I was definitely feeling the workout by the end, but I never completely fell off pace. Not sure if this was due to us actually staying somewhat in line with the pace charts (should have been 2:34, but the planned workout had us getting a bit faster as the workout progressed). Normally I feel like we're trying to run these 10 seconds faster than we should. The 2:00 also seemed pretty generous, although I wasn't complaining.
Looking forward to getting the rest of the crew back for the workouts.
