Not really the race I wanted

I cant dwell on it too much because I dont think its the runner I am, but at the same time I was really surprised to see how far I fell.

Was with the group for maybe 1600 but it felt way too fast. Not sure why, not at all the mindset I had when it came to the 3k indoors. I cant say I was scared about the race leading up to it either, just in the moment I was having a hard time. Falling off was a bad call and I paid the price. Need more work before I can say I am ready to make an impact on the team but it will come with time. I dont want this race effecting me negatively too much but its definitely getting to my head more than I let it show sometimes. Might have taken easy runs too fast this week, the workout on tuesday felt great though.

No complaints about the elites as a race shoe....some minor calf pain in the final kilometer but thats expected when your trying. Sleep was okay, school stress has been a little high lately with tests in the next two weeks. Hydration fine, havent eaten any sweets/soda for almost a month now. Didnt wake up tired or feel lathargic. Wind is a weakness of mine but thats hardly an excuse...

Just throwing it all down on paper. I think my expectations for myself were higher and when I fall short it hurts more.
