I dont know what to say. It was a slow race for everyone, so I guess my race was good even though im pissed with this time.

And im not dissapointed in my race at all. I look at those 2k,4k,and 6k splits and I had caught and passed a lot of those kids around me. So thats cool. I really need to keep that strategy of staying calm for first 2 miles during my next race too. whenever that will be...

I dont know whats in store for me in the future, but these next few weeks will be a good two weeks of training regardless. I know I can do better with every 8k, and this is definitely the way I want to race from now on. Working with Dave "20questions" for the mid section kept me focused. I have a problem with my last 1k every single time though, its the final piece of the puzzle to work out.

Breaking 28 is not out of the question for the season goal.

I obviously don't have as much insight as anyone who was actually there, but I feel reasonably confident saying conditions might have slowed times down by up to 45s compared to, say, SPAC on a nice day. I definitely think you can get under 28 by season's end. 8k is a tricky race to figure out, but you definitely seem to be learning a lot each race, so keep that up and keep making adjustments. All of you guys are plenty fit, that's for sure! Nice race my man, keep on rollin
