First road race win.
I feel dirty. There was this hometown hero in shorts and a singlet and racing flats and I thought to myself " this is the guy I go with"
Got to the line in a jacket and trainers and the gun went off.
It was just me for the whole race. Put in 5:33 opening mile and didn't know how far back the field was. Hit turnaround and saw I had 25 seconds on 2nd place. Pushed hard into the wind to mile 2 in 11:11. After that I just enjoyed the feeling of being number 1. It didn't feel right
