Notes
Twin Cities Marathon. I kept a nice and relaxed pace (although about 15-20 seconds faster per mile than intended) at the start and maintained it through 20 miles. As I came off the river and through the hills after that the legs really started to hurt. I knew by 18 that it was going to, but I wanted to stop so badly by mile 22. This was definitely one of the worst pains on a run ever. Right and left IT band/ sciatic nerve were tight and both calves felt like they might cramp. Somehow, I only lost about 15s per mile toward the end, however. I am super happy with the result, though I wish I could have managed to squeak 12 more seconds off the time :)
